From Number One Airman to Standing in Blues Before Your Commander
What would you tell your younger self in one of life’s toughest moments?
For Kim, it was the day she walked out of her commander’s office in blues, uncertain of what was next. If she could pass a message to herself now, she’d keep it simple:
"Just breathe."
In that moment of uncertainty, the key is to focus on what you *can* control. Breathe through the fear, the unknown, and the overwhelming thoughts. Take it step by step—minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. Once the storm settles, it’s time to realign your goals, ask yourself what comes next, and push forward.
We all face moments of doubt and setbacks. But sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is stop, breathe, and give yourself the space to figure it out.
